I am an emerging Calgary artist with a passion for upcycling. My inspiration is creating beauty from materials no longer desired by others, and my pieces are hybrids of mosaic and assemblage art. Now shifting into retirement from the corporate world, I am thrilled to have discovered a way to combine my passion for the earth and sustainability, with my appreciation for creativity and art.

The pieces I create typically start with one element and unfold from there. A piece of discarded wood, stained glass remnants or countless thrift shop treasures catch my eye with a story to be told. The search for these compelling elements has become a joyful and big part of my artistic process.

I embraced Reduce, Reuse, Recycle as a way of living many years ago. This commitment to being aware of the footprint I leave informs the decisions I make daily. Reducing, Repurposing and Upcycling now provide me with an artistic outlet that I love as well.
